New monograph: Triangulations

Date
26 June 2026

This summer, a new monograph presents the work of Team V Architecture through more than thirty projects that demonstrate the practice’s commitment to architecture that is elegant and sophisticated, smart and sustainable, and deeply rooted in everyday life.

Edited by critic and historian Hans Ibelings, the book offers a comprehensive overview of Team V’s work across a wide range of scales and typologies. Rather than focusing solely on form, the publication explores how architecture operates: how it connects people, shapes experiences, and responds to context.

The monograph is structured around a series of thematic triangulations, each defined by three verbs that illuminate different dimensions of the practice’s approach. These include Projecting, Connecting, Growing; Grouping, Positioning, Intersecting; Articulating, Modulating, Mediating; Crafting, Assembling, Pioneering; and Enriching, Texturing, Embedding. Together, these frameworks offer multiple entry points into the work, revealing the ideas, methods, and ambitions that underpin Team V’s architecture.

At the heart of the book lies a simple conviction: the meaning of architecture resides not only in how it looks, but in what it does. Team V’s projects are examined through their capacity to support daily life, foster social interaction, strengthen communities, and create lasting value for the people who inhabit, encounter, and work within them.

The publication features essays by Kirsten Schipper and Josephine Jongbloed, who each provide critical perspectives on the themes and broader significance of Team V’s work. Graphic design by Studio Joost Grootens gives visual expression to the book’s conceptual structure, creating a publication that is as thoughtful and rigorous as the architecture it presents.

Richly illustrated and extensively documented, this monograph offers both an introduction to Team V’s practice and a reflection on architecture’s role in shaping contemporary life. It is a portrait of a body of work that finds beauty in pragmatism and demonstrates how architecture can elevate the everyday.

It was a privilege to collaborate with this intelligent and inspiring team on designing and materializing a book. A tangible insight into our oeuvre.Jeroen van Schooten and Do Janne Vermeulen, founding partners of Team V.
