Team V celebrates 25 quarter anniversary with book presentation

On the 3rd of October 2019, during a festive evening at the RCO House, Do Janne Vermeulen, Jeroen van Schooten and Gerard van Hoorn presented Team V’s first monograph: Architecture and Argument. The reason for this is the agency’s 25-quarter anniversary. The book provides an overview of the projects that Team V has created in the past six and a quarter years. Among those present were colleagues, clients and advisors, the people who co-created the projects of Team V – thus indirectly also the book – possible.

Architecture & Argument

The book Architecture & Argument is designed by graphic designer Joost Grootens, whose work is characterized by a rational style and categorical systematics. Introduced by an essay by architectural critic Hans Ibelings, the book gives a chronological overview of the work of Team V. Each project is depicted by a selection of informative drawings coupled with a cinematic series of images by photographer Jannes Linders. Read more about the book

Party at RCO House

The book presentation took place in RCO House, the home base of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra and one of the projects of Team V. David Bazen, the business director of the orchestra, gave the welcome speech, violinist Tjeerd Top played a short piece by Bach and a song by Van Halen. Fred Schoorl – the director of the BNA – held a touching speech, mainly about the freedom within Team V. The first copy is of the book was handed to Jan Raes, the director of RCO. Jan Raes pronounced the importance of listening, a key quality of an architect. After the official program, our guests and colleagues partied until it was time to go home.
