Team V expands with two new partners

26 March 2025

Architects Irène Horvers and Frank Bouwman are joining Team V Architecture as partners. From 25 March 2025, they will lead the architecture firm alongside Do Janne Vermeulen and Jeroen van Schooten.

The appointment of two new partners is a logical step in the development of Team V. Since its founding in 2013, the firm has grown from fifteen to over fifty employees, building a strong and diverse network of clients, users, consultants, and designers. The firm has taken on large-scale projects, including the transformation of government and university buildings, infrastructure developments such as Zuidasdok, and, more recently, the redevelopment of the Matser site in Utrecht into the Rabobank Campus, and its first international project: the VDAB Career Campus in Roeselare, Belgium.

Do Janne Vermeulen: “With Irène and Frank as partners, we strengthen Team V’s position as a leading architectural firm in sustainability and innovation. Together, we can realise our ambitions even more effectively, from designing urban developments and transport hubs to promoting the cultural value of our profession.”

Jeroen van Schooten: “Irène and Frank have played a key role in shaping Team V. Their contribution to our growth is undeniable. Their appointment as partners feels natural and gives confidence in the future of our company.”

Irène Horvers

As an architect, Irène Horvers played a vital role in award-winning projects such as the Gelderland Provincial House in Arnhem and the renovation of the a.s.r. headquarters in Utrecht. Over the past five years, she has been closely involved in office management as an associate architect. In addition to leading projects, including the Mallegat residential development in Rotterdam and the transformation of the Rabobank Campus in Utrecht, she focuses on BIM development, strategy and acquisition, recruitment and selection, office planning, and contract management.

Do Janne Vermeulen: “Irène has an incredible drive and a great talent for architectural and analytical design, from urban planning to renovation. Moreover, she is an excellent manager with a keen eye for quality and organisation, both at the project level and within the firm. Her appointment as a partner is a logical and valuable step for Team V.”

Frank Bouwman

Frank Bouwman is the project architect behind Zuidasdok, VDAB Career Campus Roeselare, and the MIRT study for the Laan van NOI transport hub. He specialises in complex projects and contract structures, particularly in the field of mobility. Since 2020, he has focused on knowledge development, education, quality assurance, and international acquisition as an associate architect. Additionally, he advocates for the interests of the architectural profession.

Jeroen van Schooten: “Frank is a skilled architect with strong connective abilities. He moves effortlessly between scales, from developing phased design strategies for station areas to refining technical details. He has a unique ability to assess and unite the interests of all stakeholders into a well-supported solution. With Frank as an architect-partner, Team V is stronger than ever.”
