Team V is working on three major Dutch MIRT projects (Multi-year Programme for Infrastructure, Spatial Planning and Transport): the station areas of ‘s Hertogenbosch, Eindhoven, and The Hague Laan van NOI.

Last week, the Dutch national government, provinces, water authorities, and municipalities reached agreements on investments in the Netherlands’ infrastructure. This ensures certainty that these projects can move forward to the next phase. The following plans are in place for Team V’s projects:

‘s Hertogenbosch Central Station
The Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management is allocating an additional €105.9 million to improve the Den Bosch station area. This funding will be used, among other things, to increase station capacity, develop a new bus station, widen platforms, and create high-quality public squares on both sides of the station. These developments will enable the construction of a large number of new homes close to key facilities and amenities.

Eindhoven Central Station
The Eindhoven XL project, aimed at upgrading Eindhoven Central Station, will continue. The new public transport hub will become the main gateway and interchange for Eindhoven and the Brainport region. Plans include the construction of a new station building on the northern side, with an internal transfer to a newly developed, fully underground bus station. This marks an important step towards a future-proof rail and bus station capable of accommodating growing passenger numbers.

The Hague Laan van NOI
The national government and the region are making €165 million available for the redevelopment of The Hague Laan van NOI station. Located on the Leiden–Dordrecht corridor (the Old Line), this route is the most important rail connection in the southern Randstad. The redevelopment will improve accessibility for thousands of new homes and workplaces, strengthen the public transport hub, enhance spatial quality, and provide a boost to the region’s innovation ecosystem.
