Last Friday, construction of Hotel Chicago started on the Wilhelminapier in Rotterdam. Hotel Chicago will be built on a former parking lot between Hotel New York, World Port Centre, Montevideo residential tower and Las Palmas. The hotel will also have a wellness facility with a swimming pool and a sauna, sports facilities and a bakery.

This marks a new chapter in the development of our family business, and we are proud to be able to realize a new hotel at this special location – right next to our other pride and joy, Hotel New York.’ The two hotels are neighbors and both belong to the Westcord chain.
The hotel covers five floors with two hundred rooms, and two top floors with seven penthouses . The swimming pool will be on the ground floor and will be visible from the street. The spacious and green atrium, which also forms the main entrance to the building, is not only accessible to hotel guests and residents, but also to other visitors. The 23,753 m2 building is expected to be completed in the first half of 2028.
