Mediavaert has won the National Timber Award 2024 in the category of commercial timber construction! On the 12th of November the award was handed over to the whole team in Orpheus Apeldoorn.
The jury report noted: “Mediavaert: a large office building with a complicated program. The fact that it was realized as a timber hybrid was not a main issue, but also not a side issue: the timber construction method turned out to be a considerable cost saving due to the rapid construction speed. And that is what the professional jury particularly appreciates, especially in this category: a building that shows that timber construction can be a completely logical choice in ordinary business transactions. The required spans, heights, load-bearing capacities, acoustic challenges, they were all solved in an exemplary manner. It resulted in a beautiful calling card for this media company and an extremely pleasant building for employees and visitors.”
