The timber hybrid residential tower HAUT Amsterdam has been completed. After two years of developing and designing, and three years of construction, this unique building – one of the tallest timber towers in the world – is completed. “From a sustainable dream, to a timber reality.”
With 21 floors, HAUT is the tallest timber hybrid building in the Netherlands, manufactured with Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) floors and walls. HAUT serves as an example worldwide. In 2016, high-rise construction in timber was still very progressive, but lately many new initiatives have now been taken in the field of timber construction.
The building is an initiative of Lingotto, designed by Team V Architecture and Arup, and built by JP van Eesteren.
