Flow Traders

Team V redesigned the interior of Flow Traders’ Amsterdam office, transforming a formal high-tech atmosphere into a warm, inclusive and collaborative workspace. Spread across three floors of a multi-tenant building, the new design centers on a vibrant entrance hall that brings together reception, plaza, bar, meeting rooms, and informal seating. The other two levels function primarily as workspaces supported by wellness facilities. This redesign builds on Team V’s original 2014 interior, reflecting the continued growth of both client and architect.

Material palette

Tactile materials and ton-sur-ton colour define the new interior. Natural wood is used throughout the design, featured in walls, staircases and custom furniture, with oak wall paneling and flooring providing a warm background. A standout feature is the bar and kitchen area, clad in soft, two-toned glazed terracotta red tiles. This nuanced layering of tones and finishes enrich the material palette and defines the plaza as the heart of the office. As timber and terracotta tones are used across all three floors, workspace functionality is blended with hospitality warmth.

Waterline motif

The colour scheme draws from Flow Traders’ signature red and is used to define spatial zones. Soft red tones highlight the kitchen and bar, while surrounding areas feature light shades of white, grey, and pale green. Ceramic pots with plants create a natural contrast to the warm tones of the bar. A waterline motif, seen in the timber columns and two-toned tiles, runs through the full interior, giving the spaces a refined, streamlined character.
