Library Almere

Today one of the most important public buildings of the city, the library is positioned around a large atrium and a courtyard. The library itself is part of a larger complex that also includes retail, residential and office space.

The visitor is guided through the library via a progressive sequence of areas by stairs, escalators and terraced floors. Additional facilities such as the cafe, auditorium and study center ensure that the building is a lively public space on all levels – a clear enrichment of the local culture and community.
