Thomas Hayat

Role
Architect

Thomas graduated from Delft University of Technology in 2017. He chose to study Architecture out of a fascination for the physical and emotional impact that buildings can have on people and their surroundings. After graduating, he gained broad professional experience at KAAN Architecten, META, and Beyond Space, working on both large-scale, complex developments and smaller residential and interior projects.

Over time, Thomas’s interest shifted increasingly towards technical innovation in sustainable construction. As a self-employed architect, he spent two years focusing on small-scale transformation and renovation projects with minimal environmental impact—making use of bio-based insulation materials and innovative heating and ventilation systems.

In 2025, he joined Team V, drawn by the studio’s collaborative approach to sustainable architecture. He hopes to further develop and apply his knowledge of sustainable building techniques and materials in larger, more complex projects. He is currently contributing to the Green Gatwick and Rabobank projects.
