Mattia Mattiuzzi

Role
Architect

Mattia graduated cum laude with a Master’s degree in Architecture from IUAV University of Venice, Italy, and holds a postgraduate Master’s degree in ‘Social Museum and Smart Tourism’, focusing on cultural heritage and spatial experience.

Mattia joined Team V in 2026. Before joining the practice, he worked at Mecanoo in Delft, contributing to complex transformation, residential and museum projects across all stages of the design process, from concept development to detailing and realization. Alongside his professional experience, Mattia has developed a strong interest in design research, exploring architecture, spatial experience and materiality across different scales. His research includes CRT+ALT+ANA, which was exhibited at the Italian Pavilion of the 2025 Venice Architecture Biennale, and Superstrata, a landscape pavilion in Canada.

Across his work, the pursuit of wellbeing is a consistent thread. It informs his design process from the earliest conceptual stages. By considering the needs, behaviours and experiences of future users, he aims to create spaces that are not only functional, but also meaningful and valuable to experience. His experience across architecture, experience design and furniture design allows him to approach projects at different scales, from overall massing and spatial strategies to materiality and detail.
