Mathijs graduated from the Inholland University of Applied Sciences in Haarlem in the field of Construction Technology in 2015. An internship at De Heemraad Contractors during his studies, led to his first professional role a Work Planner after his internship. During his graduation period, Mathijs completed an internship at Meyer & Van Schooten Architects, where he researched the design of an active facade as an alternative to the existing facade for the Rivierstaete transformation project, which he subsequently developed in Revit.
Mathijs commenced his role at Team V immediately after graduating, working on the Atlas building for the TU/e project in Eindhoven. He is currently working on Zuidasdok and VDAB Roeselare.
Mathijs’ ambition is to develop further in parametric design and the technical development of complex buildings in BIM.
