Frank Bouwman is architect-partner of Team V, leading the architecture firm alongside founding partners Do Janne Vermeulen, Jeroen van Schooten and architect-partner Irène Horvers.
Frank is a skilled architect with strong connective abilities. He moves effortlessly between scales, from developing phased design strategies for station areas to refining technical details. He has a unique ability to assess and unite the interests of all stakeholders into a well-supported solution. Currently he is the project architect of Zuidasdok, VDAB Career Campus Roeselare, and the MIRT study for the Laan van NOI transport hub. In addition to leading projects, he focuses on knowledge development, education, quality assurance, and international acquisition. Additionally, he advocates for the interests of the architectural profession.
Frank studied architecture at Delft University of Technology, after completing preliminary qualifications at technical college in Groningen. During an eleven-year stint at Meyer en Van Schooten Architecten, Frank was jointly responsible for a large number of projects and tenders, as well as the University of Amsterdam’s Faculty of Science and the Conservatorium Hotel. At Team V, Frank was earlier responsible for the PPP project at Bezuidenhoutseweg 30, a study of Zwolle Station and various design competitions. Frank’s fascination with the combination of design and technology and the practicability of ideas, coupled with his drive and perseverance, have been of great importance to the growth and development of Team V.
