Nikolaus graduated with a Dipl.-Ing. (M.Arch.) from the Universität Innsbruck, Austria in 2019. During his studies, Nikolaus completed various internships including one at a_a&d austerveil architecture & design in Shanghai, China. His master’s thesis was completed under the supervision of professor Claudia Pasquero, who invited him to work with her on a project called ‘PhotoSynthetica’ in her London-based ecoLogicStudio This experience was of substantial importance, given his thesis focussed on using micro-algae to fight urban CO2.

During his graduation period, Nikolaus worked as Junior Architect at Snow Architecture who specialise in modern alpine architecture. This was followed by a stint as Project Leader for Peter Reiter Architekten, where he worked on the realisation of various small-scale housing, hotel and industrial projects.

At Team V, Nikolaus is currently working on the Zuidas Station project as well as a residential tower in Arenapoort, Amsterdam. He is also involved in various tenders and design competitions, such as the winning designs for Station Zoetermeer, Coehoorn (Arnhem) and The Embrace (The Hague).
