Jean-Baptiste Ceran

Role
Architect

Jean-Baptiste acquired a Master’s degree in Architecture from École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture Paris-Val-de-Seine in 2016. During his studies, he participated in an Erasmus exchange at Tampere University of Technology in Finland and completed several internships, including one at Yasutaka Yoshimura Architectural Practice in Tokyo. In 2016, Jean-Baptiste started working for Benthem Crouwel Architects on three metro stations part of the Great Paris project on Ligne 18, as well as Delft Campus Station and the infrastructural project of Reinforcing the Afsluitdijk. During this period, he also earned his French architect title, HMONP. In 2022, he began working as an architect at VenhoevenCS, focusing on the construction of the Aquatic Center of Gif sur Yvette on Campus Université Paris-Saclay.

Jean-Baptiste’s curiosity and interest in digital tools such as Revit, Rhino, and Enscape, and more recently AI generative design rendering like the LookX plug-in, have led him to master the use and management of BIM software and protocols. These tools facilitate collaboration in all phases of design and with all actors in the construction field. Being ahead of technology with data-driven design, harnessing the potential of AI design methodologies, delving into the BIM material passport process, and exploring circular construction strategies to envision the full life cycle of a building are intrinsic parts of his work interests that Jean-Baptiste likes to explore and develop further.

His interest in projects that embrace the complexity of scales, from large to micro, led Jean-Baptiste to Team V, where he is working on MIRT Station Laan van NOI. Here, he utilizes his experience in infrastructure and mobility, as well as his strong skills in BIM/Revit and process management.
