Rita obtained her Master’s Degree in Architecture in 2011 at the University of Évora (Portugal) with a thesis focused on public housing policies. During this period she had the opportunity to study one year abroad at University of A Coruña, in Spain. In 2012 Rita moved to The Netherlands where she worked in a small architectural practice based in Amsterdam (currently MAATworks). In 2014 she joined Make Architects, an international architectural practice based in London. Since then Rita worked primarily on the refurbishment of Saatchi & Saatchi headquarters at 80 Charlotte Street, a large-scale project, a £150 million mixed-use scheme in central London, comprising 35 300 sqm of offices, residential and retail. This experience allowed her to work on the design development of different architectural packages and to develop a large experience on BIM models for collaborative purposes. Rita is particularly interested in innovative design and advanced methods of working. Since Septembre 2017 she’s working at Team V on various projects, including Zuidasdok.
