Do Janne Vermeulen is architect-director and founding partner of Team V Architecture. Do Janne leads the creative direction, together with Jeroen van Schooten.
She is responsible for the design of one of the tallest timber hybrid buildings in the world, the 73-meter-high HAUT residential building in Amsterdam, currently under construction. She is also the architect of the renovation of Atlas – the main building of Eindhoven University of Technology. This project has recently won several awards and has been named as one of the most sustainable renovated buildings in the world, with a BREEAM Outstanding score of 96.01%.
Do Janne is currently working on the designs of a residential tower and a hotel in Amsterdam, the Congress Hotel and Residential Tower Overhoeks, the building block Knightsbridge Hyde Park with six residential buildings in a new developed area near Schiphol Airport, the student housing complex Op Dreef in Utrecht, and two residential towers of 70 and 100 meters high Boompjes 60-68 in Rotterdam.
Besides her work as an architect Do Janne joined the jury of several architecture awards, including the Dutch Building of the Year award, the Dutch Concrete Prize, the BNA Next Step Program and the local jury of the RIBA International Prize. She taught at the Bartlett School of Architecture and was Architect in Residence at the Architecture Center of Amsterdam. She frequently holds lectures, often also abroad. Since January 2019 she is a member of the Committee for Spatial Quality in Amsterdam.
